Our Story:
Saddle Up Coffee Company began in the Spring of 2025 with a simple conversation.
One evening during our church small group, we found ourselves talking about something our community was missing—there just wasn’t a place where people could gather, slow down, and enjoy real community together.
That conversation turned into a familiar phrase:
“Wouldn’t it be cool if…”
Wouldn’t it be cool if Abernathy had a place where people could meet for coffee, catch up with friends, study, work, or simply sit and enjoy good conversation?
Looking back, we believe that moment was the Lord planting a seed.
From there, doors began to open in ways we couldn’t have planned ourselves. The right building appeared on Main Street—a nearly 100-year-old space full of character and history. What started as a conversation quickly became a calling: to breathe life back into a piece of our downtown and create a place where people feel welcome and connected.
It has truly been the easiest hard thing we’ve ever done.
Building a business is no small task, but time and time again we’ve seen the Lord guide each step—from the building, to the partnerships, to the vision that continues to grow.
Our Why:
Our heart behind Saddle Up Coffee Company is simple:
To serve the Lord by serving people.
We want to offer more than just great coffee. Our desire is to cultivate a place where community happens naturally—a place where people belong.
Saddle Up Coffee Company is being created as a warm and welcoming space that reflects both our personal story and the character of our town.
Located in a historic building on Main Street in Abernathy, it’s our small way of helping restore some of what once made our downtown so special.
Our hope is that Saddle Up Coffee Company can be one small part of a Main Street heartbeat again.
So we’re following where the One who sits in the saddle leads, partnering with good friends who share strong values, and trusting that every cup of coffee served can be an opportunity for connection.
Around here, coffee is just the beginning. Community is the real purpose.
